First Church — A Place of Generous Hearts

We started 2017 here at First Church talking about what it means to be in “The Heart of the City.” Of course, without each of you there would not be this heart.

Because of your love for God and your reflection of that love toward others, First Church’s heart touched thousands of lives in a thousand different ways in a thousand different places:

  • Because of you, First Church ministered to those who lost homes and hope after tornados, hurricanes, and earthquakes;
  • Because of you, First Church ministered to those who felt isolated and lost because of homelessness;
  • Because of you, First Church ministered to those who were young and growing in their faith through Children’s and Youth Ministries;
  • Because of you, First Church ministered to those who found God in the beauty of music;
  • Because of you, First Church ministered to those dealing with the heartache of a family member living with Alzheimer’s;
  • Because of you, First Church ministered to others through the simple act of fellowship and fun over a cup of coffee and a kolache.

Thank you for your generous heart which makes these ministries and others possible.

As this year draws to a close, please fulfill your 2017 Commitment and prayerfully consider making an additional year-end gift for our ministries and operating fund which will allow First Church to complete the year with a “stronger than ever” heart!

I cannot think of a better way to begin 2018 than with First Church’s heart overflowing because of unbounded generosity. A bigger heart means more love for God, more people served, and more lives transformed in the name of Christ!

Again, I say a heartfelt thank you and wish you a Christ-filled holiday season and new year.

Nancy
