President of Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. Andy Taft to speak during worship THIS Sunday; Building Study Committee Chair Barry Hudson and Trustees Chair Jerry Colwell to present new Master Plan at 2:00 pm in the Sanctuary.
To tell us more about the present and future growth in and around Downtown Fort Worth, we have invited Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. (DFWI) President Andy Taft to speak during our 11:00 am Sanctuary worship this Sunday.
Andy joined Downtown Fort Worth, Inc. (Texas) as President in 2003, and since then he has overseen Fort Worth’s downtown advocacy organization and how it manages the downtown planning process, including two Public Improvement Districts, the downtown Tax Increment Finance District, two city parks, the Main St. Fort Worth Arts Festival and Parade of Lights as well as most recent DFWI projects, the JFK Tribute in Fort Worth and renovation and reopening of Heritage Plaza. Andy is also a past Chairman of the International Downtown Association and serves on a number of community boards and committees, and we welcome him to our First Church Sanctuary worship to share some exciting details of the spectacular new era of growth now dawning in Downtown Fort Worth!
And wait! There’s more!
At 2:00 pm, our entire First Church family and friends are invited back to the Sanctuary to get a first glimpse and detailed explanation of our new Master Plan led by Building Study Committee Chair Barry Hudson and Trustees Chair Jerry Colwell, with plenty of time for questions and answers to follow.
Be sure to join us for both of these important and informative opportunities to learn more about our city’s impending historic growth — and our church’s unique opportunity to fulfill its role, both geographically and spiritually, in the heart of the city.
