Thank You

Thank you — That’s our theme for the month of November (gee, I wonder why).

We can’t wait to start the month exploring the power of gratitude!

And don’t forget — this is Fall Back Sunday.

Have a great weekend,

Rev. Tom McDermott
Associate Pastor of eleven:eleven

Theme: Thank You

Memory Verse: Psalm 92:1 — It is good to give thanks to the Lord.

Bible Story: Ten Were Healed [Luke 17:11-19] (Spark Story Bible p. 390)

Ten men with leprosy approach Jesus, asking to be healed. Jesus heals all ten, but only one comes back to say thank you.

Thank You — two of the most powerful words we can say. It makes others feel good and appreciated.

And saying Thank You is one way we acknowledge that we need, and receive, help. We can’t do it alone.

Holy Conversation: Think about all the things that happen during a day where someone helps you. (Preparing meals. Driving you to school. Teaching you. Telling you a bedtime story. Making sure you have clean clothes.) Did you thank the people who made those things possible? Dedicate an entire day to thanking everyone who does something, big or small, to help you.
