The spectacular and unique collage of music offerings that comprise our 2016 – 2017 FUMCFW Concert Series, The Gift of Music, continues with The Greater Tarrant Men’s Choir: An EcuMENical Chorus on January 21 in the Sanctuary.
Experience a single day of singing with men from all denominations across Tarrant County while enjoying some of the area’s finest choral direction and inspiration. We are fortunate to have Dr. Chris Aspaas, Director of Choral Studies at Texas Christian University, as our conductor this year. This concert will also feature the TCU Frog Corps Men’s Choir under the direction of Mr. Brad White. Plus, at the end of this memorable day of music and camaraderie, take part in an unforgettable choral experience in one of Downtown Fort Worth’s top 10 landmarks: the spectacular Gothic Revival Sanctuary of First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.
“This is our first annual wonderful opportunity for men to raise their voices together and also learn new music and singing techniques to improve their individual voices,” says Peggy Graff, Organist and Associate Director of Music & Worship Arts. “It’s going to be a fun way for men to bond with their voices to glorify God. I’m just really excited that we are offering this to men across the Metroplex and across all denominations — it’s something that, to my knowledge, has never been done before!”
