New Year For Fit First

Our Fit First community is on a mission to get physically and spiritually fit. We build stamina and cardio health together as we walk, run, and cycle as a group — plus train for the Cowtown as a team. We gain strength and endurance together in our free community boot camp and we renew body, breathing, and spirit with yoga to meet the needs of all levels of ability and fitness.

On top of this opportunity for free education and training, our shared fitness path will bring us closer to God and to each other. It’s only the beginning of our road to a healthy community —  and we’ll take it one step at a time — together! Despite our differences as we begin, on this shared journey, we will all have one thing in common: we’ll be getting a little faster, a little stronger, and a lot more fit together.

Kick off your new year with Fit First! Starting January 9, boot camp now meets on Monday and Wednesday nights at 6:30 pm in the Justin Building Gym, and yoga classes for all ages and fitness levels will be offered in Room 320 at various times Monday – Thursday to meet a variety of schedules. The first week of yoga is free so come try it out next week!

Looking for a way to feel renewed and revitalized? Join Linda Blanchard, registered 500-hour yoga teacher through Yoga Alliance and certified through YogaFit, as she guides you in movements which are designed to enhance muscle toning, flexibility, balance, and a healthier lifestyle. Classes are for beginner and intermediate participants, offering modifications for different levels with every pose. Each class will include soft music and end with relaxation time. Wear loose and comfortable clothing, and bring a yoga mat. Use your punch card for flexible scheduling; attend one or multiple classes per week! Pay online or by check made out to FUMC Fort Worth with Yoga in the subject line.
