As we near the final countdown of 2018, our church still faces a deficit in funding that bring our year to a successful close. With this in mind, it is time for our faith community to come together once again to meet this financial need with a special year-end gift. As of noon today, with Christmas Eve and December offerings tallied, we still have a $428,705 deficit to meeting our 2018 budget.
Are you wondering how in the world we can raise that much more in just three days? I’ve seen this church do it before, and I know we can do it again. And, if each person who receives this email makes a gift right now of $50 (if you’re already set up for online giving, you can simply text “50.00” to 817-241-2327) we’ll meet our goal and more!
And of course, because we know that not everyone on this list will be able to make that $50 contribution, but please give what you can to become part of our churchwide success. Every little bit helps! And of course, if you can and would like to give more, we welcome your gift to help make up for those who can’t.
Beyond the dollars and cents, there’s something very special that happens when we all come together in this way as a church family to put our hearts into the financial health of our church. Matthew 6:21 says, “Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.” This has been a very big year for our church, and as we prayerfully consider what we treasure most about our church and its ministries, I ask that you join together to meet this deficit with the heart that is one of my favorite First Church trademarks.
Wishing you and yours Grace, Peace, and a happy and healthy New Year,
Grace and Peace,
