This Sunday, World Communion Sunday, is a time we celebrate Holy Communion with ecumenical Christians around the world as an expression of our Christian unity. At the 11:00 am sanctuary worship service, Choral Union, along with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra string quartet and the Paup Sanctuary Organ, will present Franz Joseph Haydn’s “Little Organ Mass.”
The mass is divided into six short movements, which will be incorporated into the worship service at the prelude (two movements), the offertory, special music, communion, and the choral benediction. You will also have the opportunity to hear the FWSO string quartet play two movements from Haydn string quartets during worship.
Justin Binek, DMA candidate studying at UNT, will be our guest conductor for the “Little Organ Mass.” Justin serves as accompanist for Cornerstone Youth Choir and is a scholarship singer with Choral Union and Adoramus here at FUMCFW.
Come and experience a dimension of worship which will include instruments and voices uniting as we celebrate World Communion this Sunday!
