As you may know, our church has been enjoying a tremendous series of concerts and performances throughout this year. The Gift of Music concert series continues to showcase many ensembles and individuals. Recently, we enjoyed a full week of concerts beginning on Sunday, February 26, featuring the choirs from LSU, Colleyville Heritage, Burleson Centennial, and Duncanville High Schools. This concert was followed by performances on Tuesday, February 28 (Keller High School Women’s Chorus) and Thursday, March 2 (The Choirs of Flower Mound High School). Finally, on Saturday evening, March 4, we heard the Children’s Choruses of Crowley, Arlington, and Fort Worth ISDs join together in a choral festival.
With all these performances combined, we allowed over 700 students ranging from college to fourth grade the opportunity to experience our incredibly beautiful Sanctuary and facilities. The comments from teachers, parents, and students concerning the beauty of our church were overwhelming. So many compliments came our way concerning how beautiful this church is and how fortunate we are to have such a wonderful music ministry. This church touched the lives of many this past week. This church provided goodness to those who invested their time and efforts to be a part of their event. This church provided a sense of power in that all who attended an event during the week felt the work of God.
We are truly fortunate to have an outreach to those who wish to experience the beauty and grandeur of our Sanctuary. It is our intention to continue reaching out to music programs as well as other fine art genres in the future. As a result, we are busy preparing for yet another wonderful year of the arts in our church. Be looking for a schedule soon that will involve music, theater, and art. We are excited about the possibilities and moving forward in our ministry.
