Below is a message from Page sharing important news with you:
It is with a grateful heart for all of your love and support that I share with you that as of July 1st I will be leaving FUMC for a new appointment at Keller United Methodist Church. Words cannot convey the deep love and gratitude I have for each one of you.
When Dr. Bruster and church leadership gave me the opportunity to be the Director of First Street Methodist Mission over twelve years ago, I had no idea how profoundly my life would change. Dr. Bruster, staff, and friends, thank you so very much for your support and encouragement.
During my time here at FUMC, my eyes have been opened to a beautiful new way of being in community and a new way of seeing the world. As my staff responsibilities have changed over the years, you have continued to give me amazing new ways to live out my call to build bridges between the church and the needs of the world ~ thank you! From my ministry work at the Mission, DiscipleChurch and the DiscipleChurch Community Breakfast, Room in the Inn, to Kid’s Hope Mentoring, as well as so many other amazing ministries here at FUMC, my life has been wonderfully enriched!
The incredible bonds of friendship and connections of kinship are treasures that Bart and I will always cherish. You, our brothers and sisters in Christ, have blessed our lives!
Rev. Page Hines
While this is a loss for us, this is a great gain for Keller and a great opportunity for Page. She will be the Senior Associate Pastor and Pastor of Serving Ministries at Keller United Methodist Church.
We will have opportunities over the next six weeks to say our goodbyes and express our love and appreciation for all the ways she has served and for all the ways she has touched the lives of many in our church and city. In addition to what we will plan as a staff, Page will be in both Sanctuary services on June 18 and there will be a reception for her in the garden.
Congratulations, Page! We love and appreciate you!
Grace and Peace,
