Louisiana Flood Relief

By August 18, 2016Outreach

Chuck Graff2Louisiana (particularly the southern part along I-10) has been hit especially hard this last week with more than four trillion gallons of water — leaving areas that had not flooded in more than 100 years under water. The Central Texas Conference and FUMCFW are taking action to aid our sister conference. First, keep these families in your daily prayers. Second, watch for details on how you can provide financial support. Third, please contact me if you are interested in serving on a future mission team to help with cleanup in that area (they are not ready for teams yet). You can also attend Early Response Training to join me in being one of those from our Conference and church to go into disaster areas early upon request. Until Louisiana wants our team to come, I have scheduled a Four-Day Mission Trip to Taylor, Texas, from Thursday, October 13 – Sunday, October 16, to help repair homes from the storms in that area. We will stay at FUMC Taylor while serving. Please contact me (cgraff@myfumc.org) at 817/339-5065 if you would like training and/or can serve with us in Taylor.
