We are a dispersed community this morning. Spread across our city, our region, our country. But each of us can see the sun shining, feel the wind blowing, hear the laugh of someone who cares for us. Life is beautiful, God is good, and we can connect with it all.
Today our faith is about freedom, about trust. About experiencing the good life, a holy existence God created for us. How could we witness so many blessings in the world and not be overcome with joy and hope? Life is beautiful, God is good, and we can connect with it all.
Joy builds up in our bodies, in our souls. It is a defense against despair, occupying the heart so completely that hate or fear or boredom find no foothold. We are vessels, capable of filling with grace and spirit so completely that they run over our sides and into the lives of those around us. Because life is beautiful. God is good. And we can connect with it all.
