Join Me in Making an End-of-the-Year Gift

Dearest Friends,

My heart overflows with gratitude for each of you. Despite the craziness of 2020, I find reasons to smile whenever I think of my First Church family. Along with God’s faithfulness as my anchor, it is YOU who have brought much-needed calmness, joy, and optimism into my life.

None of us could have ever IMAGINED the year that we have experienced. I am so proud of how we —you, the clergy, and the staff — have “done church.” Your continued faithfulness, enthusiasm, presence, and generosity have been motivating forces behind all of our online worship services, our Zoom Bible studies and Grace Groups, our amazing Vacation Bible School, our Music & Worship Arts, our Communications Team innovations, and even our Drive-in Christmas Eve Services!  My “Step-Up!” gift is made in honor of each of YOU!

With the writing of my final 2020 message, I would also like to remind you that there is still a need and opportunity for you to assist First Church in fully funding our 2020 Ministry and Operating Fund. If you have not already made your “Step-Up!” year-end gift, please join me in one of the following ways:

  • If you still have a balance due on your 2020 commitment, please make your final payment by midnight on Thursday, December 31. (Please feel free to call me at 817-339-5098 if you need to know what your balance is!)
  • If you have experienced a blessed year, please consider making an additional year-end gift to the 2020 Ministry and Operating Fund as a gesture of gratitude — and perhaps to “Step-Up!” for someone who is unable to do so.
  • If you have not made a gift to the 2020 Ministry and Operating Fund and find yourself in a financial position to do so, please exercise the discipleship practice of giving by making a specific gift to our 2020 Ministry and Operating fund.

You can make your gift online between now and midnight, Thursday, December 31. Checks must be postmarked by December 31 or dropped off at the main church office by 3:00 pm on New Year’s Eve.

Thank you for all you have done for First Church. I am very excited about the New Year and look forward to experiencing it with you!

Wishing you boundless blessings in 2021.
