That’s how I feel — inspired.
Families, I can’t begin to tell you what it means to see you in the Sanctuary at 11:00 am.
Your presence alone is making a tremendous difference in the energy and engagement of worship.
The intent behind this whole move was to do what’s best (in the long run) for children and families.
But what you are doing for our church as a whole cannot be understated!
We will continue working hard to make sure you and your children get the absolute most out of worship.
Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
A few worship tips:
- When the offering plates come by, allow the kids to help pass them down the pews.
Even if they don’t have anything to put in the plates, this simple gesture helps them feel like part of the service.
- This Sunday is UMW Sunday. Your child could make a friendship bracelet and give it to a woman nearby as a gesture of gratitude.
- Our theme/word for the day will be Holy. Challenge your child to count how many times they hear the word, or see it in the bulletin.
- If you have a little one who is on the verge of a meltdown, remember that we have the parents’ lounge on the second floor.
The service is streamed on a large flat screen, there’s coffee, and we even have a basket of toys.
And then . . . when things calm down . . . please come back into the Sanctuary. It’s not the same without you there.
Note: We are working on making a cozy spot in the back of the Sanctuary with a couple of rocking chairs and plush (a.k.a. “quiet”) toys.
