IMAGINE What We Can Do

Dear First Church Friends,

Over the next four weeks we are celebrating our Stewardship Ministry and Annual Campaign. But before you fill out your 2020 Commitment Card, I want you to join me in the following IMAGINE exercise:

Begin by becoming intentional, consistent, open-minded and joyful in your Healthy Plate discipleship practice. Look at life through a 20/20, Christ-focused lens. Become open and aware to your God-given purpose.

Since we are talking about stewardship, it is only natural that I now ask you to apply these values to your discipleship practice of Giving.

Begin with putting God first. When you put God first, and as well become intentional, consistent, generous, and joyful in giving, you are living out this Christian practice. Putting these values into actions will elevate your generosity. But more significant, your relationship with Jesus Christ will grow as you live into your God-given purpose.

Imagine how that will transform you.

Imagine a church full of people who join you in knowing their God-given purpose.

Imagine how we will transform First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth.

Imagine how we will go out to be God’s people in the world.

Together, we can do more than IMAGINE.

When we live out our God-given purpose, what we imagine becomes our reality.

Glory to God, who is able to do far beyond all that we could ask or imagine by his power at work within us. Ephesians 3:20

My hope is that when you complete your 2020 Commitment Card, you do it with prayerful consideration and thanksgiving to God. And don’t forget to IMAGINE!

I look forward to being in celebration with you over the next four weeks.

Together in Christ,

Nancy Fisher
Director of Stewardship
