“Pray, whether you can or not; when you are cheerful, when you are heavy, pray. With many or few words, or none at all; you will surely find an answer of peace.”
— John Wesley
Healthy Plate Discipleship, an exciting new vision for the future of our church, will use a variety of practices to help you more faithfully follow Jesus Christ. Try all six areas — worship, serve, give, learn, play, and pray — to grow strong in faithful discipleship. Some will comfort you, some will challenge you, and all will completely nourish you. Your plate may be too full or too empty, and we want to help you have a well-balanced experience when it comes to your life of faith.
Last week marked the beginning of a sermon series that will introduce our Healthy Plate Discipleship program to you and your family. We started with learn, which was a fitting way to open our minds for this new experience. Join us in all worship services this Sunday, October 16, as we continue our series with prayer.
Prayer and meditation are especially critical in a world where we are all addicted to being busy. Regular prayer and personal disciplines can renew our energy and open us up to the places God is leading us.
