Here is What You Need to Know to Make Your Year-End Gift

I have received a few phone calls this week from members inquiring about their pending 2021 commitment balance or asking for direction for making a year-end gift. Thank you!

You should have received your contribution statement in mid-November reflecting the status of your 2021 Commitment balance. If you plan to pay off your balance, I am asking that you do so on or before December 31st.

Because of your faithful giving over the last eleven months, we are close to ending our financial year in a positive position. Your continued thoughtfulness in the way of completing your commitment or making an additional year-end gift can assist First Church in finishing the year with all ministries and programs fully funded. Here are five giving options:

Checks, cash, or money order – Please make your check or money order payable to FUMC Fort Worth with a note designating the gift for the 2021 Ministry/Operating Fund.

Online giving at https://fumcfw.org/give/. Choose “Ministry Fund” as the designated fund.

Text to give – Text 817-241-2327 and enter the amount in the message bar. To use the Text to Give option, please be sure that you have a ShelbyGive account set up with the church and on your smartphone.

IRA Giving – Qualified Charitable Distributions can offer a helpful tax-saving option for giving. To learn more or set up this type of gift, please contact Steve Fagan, Director of Finance. sfagan@myfumc.org│ 817-339-5085.

Stock Giving –If you have appreciated shares of common stock that you would like to donate to the church, you can transfer shares of stock from your account to the church’s brokerage account. This provides you with a dual benefit: you do not have to claim the capital gain on the appreciated shares, and you get to claim the total value of this stock on that date of the transfer as a charitable contribution. Please contact Steve Fagan, Director of Finance. (sfagan@myfumc.org │ 817-339-5085)

If you would like to deliver the gift in person, please be aware the church’s Main office and business office are closed on December 27th and December 28th. The Main office is also closed on Friday, December 31st.

The business office will be open on Friday, December 31st from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The business office is located in the Foundation Building, on the corner of Macon and Fifth Street, across from the Leonard Chapel. The best access is the west door on Macon Street.

We are extremely thankful and joyful to serve in ministry with you.

Wishing you a Christ-filled season that sparkles bright with an angel’s glow, overflows with the joy of a new mother, and surrounds you with the peace of a sleeping babe in a manager.
