Helpful Tip for finding Shot Records for VBS Registration

Staff_Burrows, MarkHello Families.

We understand that for several folks, one of the biggest VBS registration stumbling blocks is finding tetanus shot records.

Here’s a great tip from nursing professor, FUMCFW mom, and all around brilliant human — Danielle Walker.

The tetanus shot is documented on the “shot record” as DTaP.

If your child has received all their normal shots he/she will have received a series of five doses.

The last dose was most likely given at his/her four year checkup.

If your child is younger than four, the last dose was most likely given at his/her 18 month checkup.

Hope you find this as helpful as we did. (Thanks Danielle!)
