Today’s Scripture:

Psalm 145:1-7

I will lift you up high, my God, the true king.

I will bless your name forever and always.

I will bless you every day.

I will praise your name forever and always.

The Lord is great and so worthy of praise!

God’s greatness can’t be grasped.

One generation will praise your works to the next one,

proclaiming your mighty acts.

They will talk all about the glorious splendor of your majesty;

I will contemplate your wondrous works.

They will speak of the power of your awesome deeds;

I will declare your great accomplishments.

They will rave in celebration of your abundant goodness.

Food For Thought:

“So what am I supposed to do now? This question arises for many of us after we accept Christ’s invitation to follow him the journey of the spiritual life. After we have read the scriptures, meditated on them, and prayed, the new day stretches out before us. What do Christians do? …Each of us has a unique combination of personality traits and gifts. When we are able to put into practice the design that God has put within us, we find high levels of energy, fulfillment, and purpose. Ideally, what we are to do as Christians is to live in loving service to God in the world, according to the way we were created. We share in the ministry of Jesus who gave himself completely to us. – From Companions in Christ: Participants Book, Part 4 by Gerrit Scott Dawson

God, I know I have work to do for you. You are my God, my Lord. You are the Lord of my generation, and I know I must share your goodness and love with the next. Guide me to do your work in the world, to praise your name forever and always and to share your story with those on my path. Amen.
