Do not worry about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.
Food for Thought:
In this passage, the apostle Paul reminds us not to worry about anything, to let our requests be known to God. One of my favorite phrases has been let go and let God. I spend way too much of my life worrying about things. When we let go and let God, there is this amazing peace that overcomes us. Today think about one thing in your life that you need to let go and let God take over. Pray about this and then let go of it.
God of peace, we come before you this day with many worries. We ask that you free us from worry and free us to live joyfully, trusting in your promises that you are always with us. Guide us as we go out to be your people in the world and help us to live a life worthy of your calling on our lives. Amen.
