Today’s Scripture:

Numbers 6:22-27

The Lord spoke to Moses, saying: Speak to Aaron and his sons, saying, Thus you shall bless the Israelites: You shall say to them, The Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine upon you, and be gracious to you; the Lord lift up his countenance upon you, and give you peace. So they shall put my name on the Israelites, and I will bless them.

Food For Thought:

These are some of my favorite words in all of Scripture. Throughout Scripture we are reminded that God watches over us and cares for us. This is a wonderful promise! Think about these words. How has the Lord blessed and kept you? How have you felt God’s face shining upon you? How have you experienced God’s grace and peace?

God of new beginnings,

you wipe away our tears

and call us to care for one another.

Give us eyes to see your gifts,

hearts to embrace all creation,

and hands to serve you every day of our lives.

We ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
