How very good and pleasant it is when kindred live together in unity!
It is like the precious oil on the head, running down upon the beard, on the beard of Aaron, running down over the collar of his robes.
It is like the dew of Hermon, which falls on the mountains of Zion. For there the Lord ordained his blessing, life forevermore.
Food For Thought:
In this Psalm, the Psalmist talks about unity. I wonder why we have so many disagreements. It seems like many of our disagreements are over silly stuff. Unity, love, and peace should be the mark of a Christian. How are you living out these in your own life?
Keeper of our lives, you know the hardness and gentleness of human hearts. You call your people to faithful living. Through the storms of life that bring suffering and fear, joy and laughter, teach us to turn to you for all we need, so that we may come to know your presence even in the midst of the trials that surround us. In your sacred name we pray, Amen.
