Today’s Scripture:

Psalm 34:1-8

I will bless the Lord at all times; his praise shall continually be in my mouth.

My soul makes its boast in the Lord; let the humble hear and be glad.

O magnify the Lord with me, and let us exalt his name together.

I sought the Lord, and he answered me, and delivered me from all my fears.

Look to him, and be radiant; so your faces shall never be ashamed.

This poor soul cried, and was heard by the Lord, and was saved from every trouble.

The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them.

O taste and see that the Lord is good; happy are those who take refuge in him.

Food For Thought:

This passage reminds us of how important it is for us to praise God. Think about a time(s) in your life that you have praised God. What did you praise God for? How did it feel to know that God provided a way out of no way? Did God provide another person to help you through the struggle? If so, reach out to that person and thank them for being with you in your darkest hour.

Prayer:

For the healing of the nations, O God,

you raised up your Son on the wood of the cross

and exalted him as the Lord of all creation.

Grant that all who believe in him

may have the gift of eternal life

and share in the glory of your kingdom,

where you live forever and ever. Amen.
