Today’s Scripture:

2 Corinthians 13:11-13

Finally, brothers and sisters, farewell. Put things in order, listen to my appeal, agree with one another, live in peace; and the God of love and peace will be with you. Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the saints greet you. The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the communion of the Holy Spirit be with all of you.

Food for Thought: In this passage, Paul is reminding the congregation at Corinth to live in harmony with one another.  I think Paul is simply saying, “Can’t we all get along?”   I often wonder about this in different settings that I am in.  Can’t we find a way to respect one another’s differing opinions and find a common ground?  Today, I encourage you to find common ground with someone who it has been difficult to find common ground with.

Prayer:

God, startle us with the grace, love, and communion of your unity in diversity, that we may live in harmony with one another and be a true reflection of your love.  In your holy and precious name we pray, Amen.
