Today’s Scripture:

Psalm 67

May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us,

that your way may be known upon earth, your saving power among all nations.

Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.

Let the nations be glad and sing for joy, for you judge the peoples with equity and guide the nations upon earth.

Let the peoples praise you, O God; let all the peoples praise you.

The earth has yielded its increase; God, our God, has blessed us.

May God continue to bless us; let all the ends of the earth revere him.

Food For Thought:

The line that stands out to me is, “May God be gracious to us and bless us and make his face to shine upon us.” God offers grace and love to each one of us whether or not we are deserving of it. Think about a time in your life when you have experienced grace and love from God. How did that make you feel?

Prayer:

Mighty God,

in whom we know the power of redemption,

you stand among us in the shadows of our time.

As we move through every sorrow and trial of this life,

uphold us with knowledge of the final morning

when, in the glorious presence of your risen Son,

we will share in his resurrection,

redeemed and restored to the fullness of life

and forever freed to be your people. Amen.
