The theme for our March Good Book Club:
Three in One
Our three book selections will focus on things that come in threes, or have three as part of their nature.
Kindergarten and Younger
Three in One: A Book About God by Lynne Lepley. A tree is more than its various parts, and those parts nourish us in different ways. Like the tree, God is more than the Father who gives us life. He is also the Son who came to earth and lived, died and rose again for our salvation. And, he is the Holy Spirit—the power and life of God within the hearts of those who love God. Father, Son and Holy Spirit make themselves known to us in very different ways, and yet they are all God.
1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade
Three in One: A Book About God by Lynne Lepley. It’s not often that we have the same book for two different age groups, but this is one of those times. The concept of the Trinity is not an easy one. This is a book that really gets to the heart of it.
4th Grade and Older
The Wright 3 by Blue Balliet. When a house by Frank Lloyd Write is slated for destruction, three sixth-graders overcome tensions to save the landmark and decode its secrets, including an intriguing buried artifact. They learn that while three can indeed be a crowd, it will take all three of them, working together, to save the day.
