Generous Hearts Make a World of Difference

You opened up your hearts with almost $45,000 being raised through the Easter offering. Thanks to your kind generosity, lives will be transformed:

• A family with two small children and only one parent earning minimum wage receives financial assistance for rent and utilities as well as a caring person who took time to listen when they visited First Street Methodist Mission;
• A Methodist Justice Ministry attorney provides not only the legal support but also the moral support to a young woman who escaped an abusive home with her three siblings and who is now able to provide them a loving, safe home while she works and attends college.
• A daughter finds comfort and inspiration during the weekly Dementia Friendly Chapel Service as she sits with her elderly mother who is in early stages of Alzheimer’s; and
• UMCOR has boots on the ground in Ukraine where the small by mighty United Methodist community is actively engaged in assisting neighbors in need.

Earlier this year you also felt called to give specific gifts for Ukraine assistance that totaled over $24,000. To see how our dollars are saving lives, visit https://umcmission.org/umcor/faq-the-crisis-in-ukraine/.

My heart is smiling as I realize how many adults and children are touched by your kindness. Thank you for practicing discipleship in your actions, prayers and continued generous support of these life-changing ministries.

Wishing you boundless blessings,
