Our first Good Book Club of 2016 is Wednesday, January 27. It kicks off with a meal in Wesley Hall at 5:30 pm. The parenting session from 6:00 – 7:00 will feature highly-requested Mary Flo Ridley presenting “Sooner Than You Think: Simple Answers to Challenging Questions.” This program will give you the tools to begin answering questions children have about their own bodies, how babies are born, and how babies are made.
From 6:00 – 7:00 the kids will have Good Book Club in the Children’s Wing. Our January theme is — Help! Each book features characters who must ask for help when they need it . . . or face the consequences when they don’t ask.
3rd Grade and Older

The classic story of a magical nanny who comes to help and to teach children how to help themselves.
2nd Grade and Younger
Stuck by Oliver Jeffers
A boy gets his kite stuck in a tree and needs to get it down. This one actually made me laugh out loud in the bookstore.
Nugget and Fang by Tammi Sauer, illustrated by Michael Slack
This is the story of an unlikely friendship between a minnow and a shark. And then the minnow goes to school and learns the “truth” about sharks.
