Let’s face it, although it is fun to ride alone, it’s always better when we ride together – on bikes and in life. On the first Tuesday of every month, grease up those squeaky wheels on your bike and join members of FUMCFW’s Outdoor Ministry and other cycling enthusiasts as we get together for an evening ride.
Our very own Tom McDermott, Reverend and cyclist extraordinaire says, “I’ve been on both rides. It’s a lot of fun to meet some new folds, to do a slow meandering group ride through Downtown, land at some quirky eatery, grab some food or a beverage. And have some great conversation!” Another Squeaky Wheels regular rider, Laura Smith says, “Love cycling with Squeaky Wheels! Ride. Dine. Fun and fellowship in the heart of Fort Worth!”
Led by our leader of the Outdoor Ministry, Director of A/V Resources, and cycling enthusiast, Austin Patton, the Squeaky Wheels group ride is sure to be a fun time. We will assemble in the West Parking Lot of the church and then cycle to a few of the fantastic establishments around the Main Street and Magnolia area to enjoy some good eats and drinks together. Don’t forget to make sure your bike has front and rear lights for safety and visibility!
Bike rides not your thing? Would you rather just meet up to hang out with outdoor and cycling enthusiasts? That’s ok! Meet us in the West Lot before we head out and we will let you know where you can join us along the route.
We plan to ride unless it’s icy or raining buckets. So, come and join us for the Outdoor Ministry’s Squeaky Wheels Evening Ride!
