Time to Talk: Social Justice

By February 15, 2018

“Until the great mass of the people shall be filled with the sense of responsibility for each other’s welfare, social justice can never be attained.”

— Helen Keller

The conversation continues once again as our faith communities come together for another Interfaith Symposium to share their perspectives — this time on matters of social justice. Each of our speakers — Rev. Dr. Sid Hall III, Minister of Celebration at Trinity United Methodist Church in Austin, Texas; Imam Azhar Haneef, Vice President of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA; and Rabbi Brian Zimmerman, Senior Rabbi at Beth-El Congregation in Fort Worth, Texas — will engage with the topic, framed by the scriptures, traditions, and experiences from his faith tradition. Join us this coming Sunday, February 18, from 3:00 – 5:00 pm in the Sanctuary for a chance to learn, grow, and engage with new ideas, followed by a reception in Wesley Hall to enjoy refreshments and meet neighbors from different faith traditions. Bring an open heart and mind as we join in another faith conversation together.
