How FUMCFW children, teens — and adults — remember their baptism

By May 1, 2019

At FUMCFW, it has long been our practice to give each person (child, teen, or adult) who is baptized here a candle on the day they are baptized. The attached note reminds them to celebrate this day each year on the anniversary of their baptism by lighting their candle and remembering the day of their baptism, all that has meant to them in the past year, and how remembering that, no matter what,  they are a beloved child of God, makes a difference in every day of their life.

This past Sunday, Emily Romeo, the mother of Amelia Grace Romeo, the baby being baptized, brought her candle from when she was baptized. What a lovely reminder of how our church family continues its celebrations from generation to generation!
