Next90 Vote is THIS Sunday!

By September 12, 2020

If you haven’t already, please register now (fumcfw.org/vote) for our Next90 Congregational Vote on moving forward into construction. Once you register, we’ll confirm your eligibility to vote and send you your unique login credentials so that your vote will be officially counted. You must be a member or clergy of FUMCFW to vote — and there’s still time to join via Zoom before Sunday! (contact Lisa Helm, Director of Welcoming Ministries (lhelm@myfumc.org) or Dr. Mike Marshall (mmarshall@myfumc.org)

Registration is essential for our compliance with The United Methodist Book of Discipline and the special permission for this virtual vote granted by our District Superintendent Rev. Louis Carr, who will chair this churchwide meeting.

This meeting will be virtual via Zoom with live presentations from Wesley Hall to the virtual audience and those assembled in the Sanctuary “Zoom room.” Voting will be done by combined Zoom poll vote and in-person voting via paper ballot for those who cannot otherwise access this technology. Seating for in-person attendance is extremely limited. Register for in-person attendance by emailing Hans Grim (hgrim@myfumc.org) or calling our tech support line at 260-338-6239.

Here’s what to expect on Sunday:

  • Welcome and Introductions
  • Opening Prayer
  • Next90 Phase I Construction Plan
  • Next90 Phase I Financial Plan
  • Vote
  • Counting of Ballots
  • Announcement of results
  • What’s next!
  • Closing Prayer

Remember, as a church member, you have both voice and vote
In this meeting you will be welcome to ask questions and speak to the group at any time. Here’s how you do this:

Ask a question:
If you’re joining us via Zoom, use the Q&A button at the bottom of your screen to type in your question. Our moderators will relay these questions to the presenters.

If you’re here in person, please raise your hand, and one of our hosts will direct you to the microphone to ask your question.

Request to Speak:
If you’re joining us via Zoom, you’ll use the Q&A button at the bottom of your screen to request to speak. Our moderators will relay this request to the presenters, who will then recognize you, and an “unmute” request will pop up on your screen.

If you’re here in person, please raise your hand, and one of our hosts will direct you to the microphone to speak.

In case of technical difficulties (yours or ours):
