We’re so excited to share with you that on September 3 Texas Governor Greg Abbott announced his intention to appoint our own church member and UMW board member, president, fundraiser chair, and membership chair Megan Fahey as Judge of the 348th Judicial District Court in Tarrant County upon Judge Mike Wallach’s formal resignation.
Megan served as an associate attorney for Bracewell LLP and Jenner & Block, LLC before joining the U.S. Attorney’s Office in 2005, where she has served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in both the Civil and Criminal Divisions.
In 2011, Megan received EOUSA’s Director’s Award for Superior Performance as a Civil AUSA, naming her one of the nation’s top Civil AUSAs that year. She is a member of The Federalist Society and the Tarrant County Bar Association.
Megan has also coached for the Fort Worth Youth Soccer Association and YMCA Youth Basketball. She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of Texas at Austin and her Juris Doctor degree from The University of Texas School of Law.
Be sure to congratulate Megan when you see her and let her know how proud we are of her — and her role in our church, our Tarrant Count Judicial system, and our community!
