It has been our great pleasure to have Rev. Carol Roberts here with us, on temporary assignment, since last November. Even in the short time she’s been here, Carol has made her mark on our hearts and our First Church ministries.
If you’ve had a chance to work with or get to know Carol, I know you’ll agree that she has not only been a delightful addition to our clergy staff and our church family, taking on a leadership role in our prayer ministry and serving at the First Street Mission, but her kindness, wit, and prayerful presence has been felt by everyone who has come onto contact with her.
And now, it is with great reluctance that we have to let Carol go to her new appointment, a permanent assignment at not one, but two churches in Brownwood, Texas.
Starting July 1, Carol will be serving both Central United Methodist Church of Brownwood and Lake Brownwood United Methodist Church.
We certainly want to thank Carol for all she has done in an all-too-short short time and wish her well in her new appointment.
We’ll be hosting a farewell reception for Carol on June 23 between services — please be sure to stop by and offer her your own thanks and warm wishes for her future ministries.
