Baby Celebration Sunday

By January 24, 2020

On Sunday, February 9, our Sanctuary will be filled with the sweet sounds of babies. Baby Celebration Sunday is a favorite event and most cherished FUMCFW tradition. Each year, all of the babies born the previous year are brought to the 11:00 am Sanctuary service by their families and each year our congregation gets a chance to welcome all the newest members of our First Church family.

“Being a family means you are a part of something very wonderful,” says Mister Mark, Director of Children’s Ministries. “It means you will love and be loved for the rest of your life — no matter what. YOU are part of our family, and so is your newest little one.”

You do not have to be a regular sanctuary attendee to be part of Baby Celebration Sunday! This is a golden opportunity for the church body to get to see you and your dear one.

Baby Celebration is the first of many “name days” (along with 3rd Grade Bible Presentation, Confirmation, and Senior Recognition Sunday) your child will experience here as part of the FUMC Family.

We invite you all, our church family, to join us in worship in the Sanctuary as we reaffirm how much these children mean to us all. A special reception for our honored families will take place immediately following the ceremony in Room 200 of the Children’s Wing.
