“A Joyous Journey: Joy in Serving Others”

By September 20, 2019

Can healthy, nutritious food really help the body heal and fight life-threatening disease? When you’re recuperating and battling, how can you find the time and strength to prepare those foods proven to help your body heal?

Whether you are already a member United Methodist Women (UMW) or would just like to come and see what it’s all about, we’d love for you to join us for our October UMW Luncheon as we continue to build upon this year’s theme of A Joyous Journey with “Joy in Serving Others” featuring Lori Henson, Executive Director of Cuisine for Healing.

Cuisine for Healing is a nonprofit organization committed to making nutritious, delicious food readily available to people combating life-threatening disease while providing education about the power of healthy food to help the body in the healing process.

Our October luncheon will be catered by Feastvities featuring Breakfast Casserole with sausage, egg, potato, and cheese; a Mandarin Orange Green Salad with mandarin oranges, greens, asiago cheese, and candied pecans; and an iced cinnamon roll. There will also be a Mock Mimosa Bar with assorted fruit.

Reservations are required so we can plan accordingly for meals, seating, and childcare. We look forward to seeing you there! To make your reservation, RSVP online or by phone to 469-844-8690 by noon on Wednesday, September 25. To make a childcare reservation, please contact Paula Wagstaff (pwagstaff@myfumc.org).
