Nancy Tully, Director of Outreach Ministries, Announces Fall Retirement
Dear Church Family,
After much prayer and contemplation, I have decided that after 14 years of service to our great church and our community, it is time for me to retire. My last day of service will be October 31. My journey here has been delightful and I am incredibly grateful to have had so many wonderful opportunities that I hope and pray have enhanced the lives of others, but just as important have enhanced my life beyond measure. None of the work that I have accomplished here would have been possible without the love and support of the congregation, so it is with total admiration for each of you that I say, thank you! I am confident that the next few months will be filled with the joy of so many wonderful memories and much sadness as I leave behind a job that I have dearly loved.
With my love and sincerest appreciation,
Nancy
“Do It Again, Lord!”
John 14:15-21
Dr. Tim Bruster
Dear Friends,
This Saturday, May 24, is Aldersgate Day. It commemorates an experience that John Wesley, the founder of the Methodist Movement, had 276 years ago in 1738. Sometimes people call that experience his “conversion,” but the term is misleading because it wasn’t the moment when he became a Christian. He had been a Christian all his life. In fact, he was a priest in the Church of England. But that experience did follow a very low period in his life. He had gone to the Georgia colony with high hopes of accomplishing great things, but he was a failure there. He found himself questioning his faith and wondering if he really was qualified to be called “Christian.”
