A WORD ABOUT WORSHIP by Rev. Linda McDermott

Lent is a season which invites us to be much more intentionally introspective and reflective. For many, this translates as a time to make an accounting for every way we have come up short or everything that is wrong about us. Self-reflection and honest personal accounting can certainly be helpful and an important place to begin a journey toward the kinds of transformations God’s love and grace make possible in our lives.  If we remain in this state, however, we thwart God’s gift of new life.  READ THE REST OF REV. LINDA MCDERMOTT’S WORD ABOUT WORSHIP HERE…

3.9 MARCH GOOD BOOK CLUB

6:15 – 7:15 pm | Children’s Wing

The theme for our March Good Book Club is “Three in One”. Our three book selections will focus on things that come in threes, or have three as part of their nature. Kindergarten and Younger, as well as 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Grade will read Three in One: A Book About God by Lynne Lepley. It’s not often we have the same book for two different age groups, but this is one of those times. The concept of the Trinity is not an easy one, and there are few solid books out there that really get to the heart of it. 4th Grade and Older will enjoy The Wright 3 by Blue Balliet. For more information about our Good Book Club or its next meeting or selections, please contact Nikki McInnis (nmcinnis@myfumc.org).
