“An Accidental Harvest?”
Dr. Mike Marshall, Executive Pastor
“Mike, where did you put that rotten pumpkin….behind the garage by chance?” My wife had good reason to ask that question during the spring. Jan had noticed an unusual “weed” in a corner of the backyard. Thankfully her instincts said this was something different. It was a tiny pumpkin vine! I confessed that I was so lazy with our purchased pumpkins in 2012 that I eventually tossed one out of sight. But by summer, a beautiful series of vines took over that part of the yard and were definitely “in sight”. Our grandson Aaron helped water the patch every time he visited. What fun! Soon the ultimate wonder happened. Read the rest of Mike’s blog here…

NOVEMBER MISSION SUNDAYS: SHEETS AND TOWELS
Please bring sheets and towels to FSMM during regular donation hours, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 am – 4:00 pm or to the Welcome Center on Sunday. Remember: Small Gifts, Big Difference!
Perhaps it is our own childhood memories of Christmas joy — and the excitement of surprises and gifts — that inspire us to give gifts to those who might not otherwise experience much joy at Christmastime.
Maybe that’s why giving toys to children in need this time of year has become such a favorite tradition.
This Christmas we’re celebrating that impulse — and turning it . . . Inside Out.
Watch for details in the coming weeks to discover how you can become part of bringing joy to others this holiday season in surprising new ways.
