Dr. James Fleming Begins Goostree Lecture Series This Sunday

Chuck Graff2

We are extremely excited to welcome back Dr. James Fleming, who will be leading our Goostree Lecture Series beginning this Sunday as he preaches in both Sanctuary worship services. He will also address the current Middle East situation in his lectures on Monday and Tuesday. You all won’t want to miss hearing him!

Dr. James Fleming serves as Director of Biblical Resources Study Center (BRSC), an ecumenical organization serving Christians around the world. Dr. Fleming lived and worked in Israel from 1974 to 2006, where he founded and directed the World of the Bible Archaeological Museum and Pilgrim Center in Jerusalem. Dr. Fleming has since established the Biblical History Center, a similar archaeological museum in LaGrange, Georgia, that opened in June 2006 (we may want to take a road trip to visit this Center in the future!).

Dr. Fleming is on the Editorial Advisory Board of Biblical Archaeology Review. He has contributed articles to this journal and has led many archaeological tours for the magazine, which has the largest circulation of any publication in the field of archaeology. Welcome back, Dr. Fleming!

Please review the lecture schedule and all details. Plus, sign up for our 2016 Fall Adult Programs with amazing and diverse class/group offerings this fall. Your participation and support for those clergy and laity leading these offerings will be greatly appreciated as they generously share their gifts and graces with us all. Especially note the new Wednesday Night Churchwide Community Dinners that we will begin offering in October!

Grace and Peace,

Pastor Chuck
