Fit First, an exciting First Church initiative to help our members and friends get fit, connect with one another, and build community, is led completely by volunteers from our congregation looking to share their favorite fitness activities with likeminded others. All it takes is a once-a-month commitment and a willingness to share what you know and help others along the path to fitness. While traditional fitness options are always welcome, we are also happy to welcome new additions to our Fit First menu to offer greater variety and levels of intensity to meet the needs of everyone from our casual exercisers to our weekend warriors. Use what you know and love in the fitness world to help others build stamina, strength, and flexibility to improve the health and fitness levels of all. Lead a class in your favorite fitness DVD; be the one to bring Zumba, Tai Chi, Dance, Barre, Pilates — or even martial arts and self-defense to our Fit First community. As long as you’re willing and ready to teach, we have a space and time for you!
