First Church is experiencing our annual storm of uncertainty as we enter into the fourth quarter of 2019.
The summer months were very busy months for our members — Vacation Bible School, Youth Choir and Youth mission trips, Grace Groups and Bible studies and thought-provoking messages. It was also a time for vacation and renewal for both church staff and church members resulting in lower worship attendance and giving.
If you are faithful in your giving and are on track with your 2019 Commitment, thank you!
If you have fulfilled your 2019 Commitment, thank you!
As we begin the fourth quarter and the seasons of Thanksgiving and Advent, we are asking for your awareness and assistance in finishing 2019 strong by successfully raising the dollars needed to fully fund our vital ministries for the remaining of the year.
If you been out for the summer and have missed giving opportunities or fallen behind on your commitment, we understand. Please make an intentional plan to get back on track in your giving. Thank you!
If your credit card payment has lapsed, please reactivate the card online or contact Steve Fagan in the Business Office at 817-339-5085. Thank you!
This is a time to come together and celebrate the blessings of our community and to honor our loving God with our gifts. Please join the church leaders in the following ways:
- Please prayerfully and thankfully make an additional sacrificial gift over and above your current giving and designate it for our Finish Strong Campaign.
- If you have not made a gift this year to our Ministry and Operating Funds, please prayerfully and thankfully take action today by making a gift to the Finish Strong Campaign.
We are making it easy for you. Simply go to fumcfw.org/givenow. Find the dropdown menu, highlight Finish Strong and complete your transaction with payment information.
As we confront this storm of uncertainly let us hold fast to the teachings of Jesus Christ when the apostles encountered stormy waters.
Just then Jesus spoke to them, “Be encouraged! It’s me. Don’t be afraid.” Matthew 14:27
This is a storm we can weather and finish strong.
Together in Christ,
Director of Stewardship
