Micah | November 12 – December 17, 2019 | Not meeting November 26
Join us in November and December as we read together the book of the prophet, Micah. At first glance, this book seems to be loaded with confusing names and references to people and places that may not be familiar to you. The general feeling of the book comes across as doom and gloom — and as we will explore, there is a good reason for that!
Micah came from a small village and became a voice of common people who were hit the most by the war and corruption in the land. In our conversations, we’ll look together at the turbulent history of Israel in those days and learn about the events that Micah witnessed.
As these historical details become clearer to us, we will also discover Micah’s vision for God’s forgiveness, love, and restoration of peace in all the land. This is the good news that all of us need to hear today!
Pastor’s Bible Study is an open Bible study that welcomes both those who have never opened the Bible and those who study on a regular basis. No purchase or registration is necessary. Childcare is available with 48-hour advance notice to Paula Wagstaff (firstname.lastname@example.org).
