With our Sunday mornings now looking completely different — finding many First Church families in their pajamas, on the couch, worshipping together, we’ve developed simple “Family Sunday School Guides” for this unusual season.

Available to you each week, both as a post on the FUMCFW website and via downloadable, printable PDF, these guides aren’t for children. Or teenagers. Or adults. They are for whole families to talk about faith together, maybe in a way we didn’t have a chance to before.

Set aside about an hour (or more if you really get going!) whenever it fits best for your family, but hopefully over the weekend, and ideally after worship.

There are different questions aimed at different age levels, including ones for adults. In talking through these questions together as a family (You can even pull them up on your phone and yell them at each other from across the kitchen while you clean up breakfast.), we hope to spark meaningful conversations and a deep sharing of faith within your immediate family.Questions? Family Sunday School: Anger

By | Jun-02-2020 | Family Sunday School

While this has undoubtedly been a season where we wrestle with grief and anxiety, it has also been one that has included anger. Anxiety and stir-craziness makes tempers run short at home, and injustice and fear manifests itself in anger in the streets all over the country.
