When someone has dementia, it can also affect the lives of family caregivers — and sometimes dramatically. How are caregivers to deal with their own emotions, feelings, and stress, even as they struggle to care for a loved one as the disease progresses?
This course will emphasize the importance of care for the caregiver using scripture as the basis of our discussion of emotional baggage, acceptance, and forgiveness. With this new understanding and tools for reinforcing it, you will discover a new perspective on caregiving — and the true importance of your ministry as the hands and feet of God in this altered world of dementia caregiving.
