Activities for People Living at Home with Dementia
Wednesday, July 15 | 10:30 am – 11:00 am
Monday – Friday | April 27 – September 30, 2020
10:30 – 11:00 am | Zoom Meeting
Join us for this half-hour online activity session designed to engage people who are living at home with dementia. Each session will feature a guest presenter who will guide participants and care partners through fun and engaging activities they can do from home.
These activities will include things like music therapy, movement, arts, sing-a-longs, and social opportunities. Having a routine can be a major benefit for those with dementia, so we have chosen to offer this program five days a week! Special thanks to Area Agency on Aging/United Way for grant funding to make this possible.
Our July 15 session will feature the Amon Carter Museum of American Art – Artful Moments program with our special guest presenter. Nancy Strickland will present a program on American Impressionism.
Artful Moments is featured weekly as part of the Dementia Friendly Fort Worth series for you to enjoy from the comfort of your home. Each week, we’ll explore different themes with conversations inspired by artists and artworks in the Carter’s collection and share stories and experiences.
Additional Artful Moments dates in July are:
- Friday, July 24
- Wednesday, July 29
