A 10-day Tour to England: In the Footsteps of John & Charles Wesley
Sunday, September 25
12:15 – 1:00 pm | Room 154
Led by Rev. Phyllis Barren
We are about to embark on a thrilling journey to follow in the footsteps of John and Charles Wesley. John, the founder of Methodism, rode 250,000 miles, gave away 30,000 pounds, and preached more than 40,000 sermons. Charles published the words of more than 6,000 hymns and wrote lyrics for 2,000, including “Hark! the Herald Angels Sing,” “Christ the Lord is Risen Today,” and “Jesus, Lover of My Soul.” We will not only be swept up by the beauty of the cities and villages where they lived and worked, but we will also gain a deep appreciation for their remarkable lives. Perhaps we will even come away with a desire to live our own lives more courageously. The 10-day / 8-night trip will be March 11 – 20, 2017. Join us on Sunday, September 25, to learn more about this exciting adventure. For more information click here or contact Rev. Phyllis Barren (email@example.com).
