Be sure to join us in the Sanctuary on Sunday, October 27 at 9:30 and 11:00 am for a combined Worship experience and celebration to mark the 90th anniversary of the groundbreaking of this beautiful building our First Church faith community calls home.

Both of these combined worship services will feature portions led by each leader of our four main First Church worshipping communities — Dr. Tim Bruster, Sanctuary; Rev. Lance Marshall, The Gathering; Rev. Tom McDermott, eleven:eleven; and Charme Robarts, DiscipleChurch.

We’ll also enjoy music featuring our eleven:eleven revolution band, as well as Choral Union and the Anne S. and Henry B. Paup Sanctuary Organ.

This day of celebration will also include a display of classic cars from each decade, parked along 5th Street, and a chance to gather in Wesley Hall before and after each worship service.

Breakfast tacos and kolaches from Pearl Snap Kolaches will be available for purchase ($3 each or 2 for $5) as well as plenty of coffee.

Also in Wesley Hall, take some time to enjoy memorabilia provided by FUMCFW Archives!

And, for anyone who really wants to romp down memory lane, be sure to wear a piece of vintage clothing or an accessory from the decade of your choice! Participation welcome, but not required!
