Communications

The FUMCFW Communications program is dedicated to reaching church members, visitors, guests, and surrounding community with ongoing, accurate, and up-to-date information about all the ways in which First United Methodist Church of Fort Worth lives out its mission to Love God, Serve People, and Transform Lives.

By using all available vehicles, from “low-tech” print and verbal delivery of information to cutting edge digital, audio/visual, web-based, and social media strategies, FUMCFW Communications maintains systems and processes to help connect our congregation and community with First Church worship opportunities, ministries, programs, and events.

In addition to providing program-driven information, FUMCFW Communications is also a Ministry of Story, seeking to tell the important stories of our church and its ministries through FUMCFW Weekly News, CONNECT Magazine, and A/V Vehicles including our weekly Live Stream of Worship Services, ongoing video content, StoryArc, and podcasts/playlists available on our YouTube channel and SoundCloud.

Regardless of the program or event to be promoted, the story that deserves to be told, or the accomplishment that needs to be shared in order to reflect the rich FUMCFW tradition of ministry, outreach, and community, this friendly and responsive communications team is always ready to serve with creative ideas, strategies, and materials to meet the needs and exceed the expectations of our ministries and congregation.

Media Ministries

Since the first broadcast of our morning worship service on Sunday, March 2, 1975, FUMCFW Media Ministries has reached out in innovative ways to our congregation, the community and beyond.

Although the church ended its live television broadcast on January 26, 2003, this ministry continues to thrive with Internet broadcast and DVD mailing programs to ensure that we continue meet the needs of our virtual congregation. Each week this volunteer-driven ministry live streams and records our 11:00 am traditional worship service, our non-traditional eleven:eleven celebration, and The Gathering, our teaching service, for podcast, YouTube video archive, and for mailing DVDs to our homebound church members upon request.
