This Sunday, our beautiful garden will be a hub of activity! Ladies from UMW’s Ruth and Mary-Martha Circles will be providing cookies, lemonade, and hospitality, making for a great chance to visit with old friends — and maybe to make new ones.
Other members of UMW will also be in the Garden selling tickets for their April 4 luncheon and fundraiser, “Journey Through Faith,” at which HGTV’s power-tool-wielding DIY queens, Ashley Turner and Whitney Gainer, will be the guest speakers. Now entering its 38th year, this annual event has raised more than $150,000 over the last several years to directly benefit women, youth, and children living in need in our community.
Just as these two famous sisters have inspired legions of women to transform their houses into homes with their easy-to-follow “Shanty to Chic” designs and ideas, our UMW ladies have embraced the DIY spirit by building the centerpieces to be used at the luncheon. (I got a quick peek during our last UMW meeting at some of these amazing centerpieces on display.) I can’t wait for you to see what our own “power-tool-wielding UMW” has created! Click here for more information about his event.
It’s always so much fun when our UMW Circles host in the Garden, so I hope you will make plans to stop by for food, fellowship, and a chance to support “Journey Through Faith.”
See you Sunday!
