This summer, Reverend Chuck Graff and Reverend Phyllis Barren co-led our 12th Annual Adult Costa Rica Mission Trip, and they express their gratitude to our First Church congregation for your prayers and support for this amazing, annual opportunity to Serve.

Phyllis Barren and I will be co-leading our 13th Annual Costa Rica Mission Trip, from this Friday, July 7 – Monday, July 17, and we request your prayers for our 28 amazing team members and for the beautiful people of Costa Rica as the Methodist Church continues to grow and thrive throughout Central America.
Our youth starting ninth grade in Fall 2017 and older are invited to join us for a weeklong Mission Trip to Baton Rouge, Louisiana, this summer! The flooding of this fall left many homes damaged and there is still a lot of work to be done!
Everyone interested in serving with our 2017 Costa Rica Vacation Bible School, Construction, and Medical Teams from July 7 – 17, 2017, are invited to a special informational planning meeting. Rev. Chuck Graff and Rev. Phyllis Barren will go over details with you regarding the trip itinerary.
Our Costa Rica Mission Teams have been serving faithfully in the northern part of the country for the past 11 years. We have helped build a new sanctuary/children’s worship center, a medical clinic, Sunday School classrooms, a new parsonage, and helped with local rural church buildings.
Rev. Chuck Graff will lead a three-day mission trip to Taylor, Texas, from Friday, October 14 – Sunday, October 16. Taylor, which is located east of Round Rock, was severely impacted by the spring floods.
For the last six years, FUMCFW has been actively involved in supporting approximately 250 orphans and vulnerable children in Kianjai Village in Meru, Kenya, with love, generosity, and important educational experiences.
Our 2016 Costa Rica Mission Team just returned from serving for our 11th consecutive year, and every year our trips are more amazing and transformative.
